Thinking about my mom’s influence on my life, brings a flood of memories. Some of them being her taking me to church hours before youth group started so she could go to choir practice, and others of her taking me to practice and sitting in the stands at my sport games. These interactions might not be as interactive as other moments, but they sure do reflect the build up from other moments of my mom always being willing to be around and be close and involved.
As a new father, I find myself constantly in forward thought of being aware of my relationship with my son, and asking myself where will he need and want me to be a part of his life. There’s so much I want to be able to teach him, but what am I teaching him if I don’t allow myself to be a part of his life.
What proof do you have that will express you are cultivating relationships with others that equate into teachable moments?
Read Deuteronomy 6
We may not be in the blood line of Israel but we can pullout the faithfulness of God to His word. He has also given us statues to follow so that we are blessed by Him in order to share His blessings.
Where could you better identify moments to teach or encourage those who have a well connected relationship with you?
